May 4 was a large red number on the calendars of Springfield, Vt„ when Bob Monahan came down from Hanover to help us celebrate one of our Springfield alumni meetings.
We met, as we usually do, at the Hartness House, and after some of the boys had explored the winding subterranean passages of that famous hostelry, we proceeded to the usual good dinner and enthusiastic meeting, that are always part of the Dartmouth gatherings here.
Bob gave us a new slant on college affairs, telling us about the Outing Club and the development and management of the various college grants. As usual there were lots of questions and the meeting adjourned late.
Those enthusiastically in attendance included alumni from Brattleboro, Bellows Falls, Windsor and Newport, N. H., as well as from Springfield, as follows: Sid Rollins '04, Charles Safford 'OB, Doc Thorpe 'OB, Henry Flinn '14, Harold Corwin '15, F. R.
