WELL fellows, the Big Fifteenth is now history and it was a pretty terrific affair. In spite of a little rain and some chilly weather, Hanover was the same old wonderful place. We began flowing into our headquarters (Russell Sage and Butterfield dormitories) on Friday noon and the beer in the tent began flowing simultaneously. We took time out for cocktails and a buffet supper in the same tent. Then on to the President's reception, a dance at Commons, and on, on into the night and morning with singing, good fellowship, and lots of company from '34 and '36 and from a host of very attractive feminine companions. Highlight of the evening: A jam session of the old Barbary Coast members from all three

classes; with our own Lowie Haas representing the sax section.

On Saturday morning we awoke to a thunderstorm, struggled to our feet, took a deep breath, and plunged into the class meeting at 13 Carpenter which, briefly, accomplished the following:

1. Kept us all seated for one hour.

2. Elected the following classmates to hold office for the next five years: Secretary, Reg Bankart; Treasurer, John Wallace; Class Agent, Ed Offutt; Memorial Fund Chairman, Sid Diamond. In addition, five members at large were elected to complete an Executive Committee of nine members: Harry Deckert, St. Louis; LouWeitz, Cleveland; Doug Ley, Boston; AlSherwood, New York; and Bo Kreer, Chicago.

3. Voted to increase Class dues from $3.00 to $4.00 a year to meet increased costs of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE group subscription plan.

4. Requested the Secretary to investigate a plan to contribute books to the Library in memory of deceased classmates. 5. Observed a moment of silence for six classmates who had died since last reunion.

6. Voted that a letter of appreciation from the class be prepared for the Margulis family which is setting up a scholarship fund in memory of George. A description of the plan was given to the class by LouWeitz who is helping in the arrangements.

7. Watched with assorted comments Senior and 10th Reunion movies.

At the close o£ the meeting, which coincided with Gilchrist's cocktail shaker running dry, we all assembled on the campus to glare at a large camera and record our miscellaneous looks for posterity.

Saturday noon all the girls met at the Outing Club for a get-together and buffet luncheon while us boys attended the Alumni luncheon at the Gym. '35's chest was way out for this one because Herb Shuttle-worth, as V.P. of the General Association of Alumni, presided and made a fine introductory speech of his own (details of this meeting will be found in the front of the MAGAZINE).

In the afternoon a ball game, of course, on the campus marked by (a) a mud puddle death trap at third base which caught BobSmith in his white slacks and (b) some remarkable sleight-of-hand with two baseballs on the part of Rudy Pacht. Unfortunately the weather began to take on a January touch and the game was cut rather short to allow time for warming refreshments before dinner. Because her Mother told her to, Polly Hedler brought a fur jacket and became the envy of all the girls—most of whom brought nothing but sunback dresses and shorts in accordance with their better-halfs' jaundiced picture of Hanover in June.

At 7 o'clock we converged en masse on Thayer Hall for a banquet—and, brother, were those steaks good. Yours truly was emcee following the dinner and announced the final reunion attendance of 128 classmates, 91 wives and one feminine guest, for a total of 220. The class then expressed its appreciation to the Reunion Committee, headed by co-chairmen Dick Muzzy and Ralph Colby. Details of reunion activities were well handled as follows: Beer—Dan Cotton, Finances—Fran Chase, Banquet— Ken Kurson, Buffet Supper, Cocktail Party and Ladies' Luncheon—Charlie Gow, Uniforms—Harry Reynolds, Publicity—-Doug Ley, Hanover Representative—Don Cameron.

Bob Naramore gave a summation of his four years as Class Agent with special appreciation to the support of 1935 wives—especially his own. He concluded by introducing his successor, Ed Offutt, who will carry on the fine record of the class in Alumni Fund activities.

The main speaker of the evening was our old friend and honorary member of the class, Prof. Al Foley '20. For 30 minutes Al kept us laughing with examples of his famous Vermont humor and ended by bringing tears to our eyes with a deep and touching tribute to Dartmouth and the Dartmouth spirit.

Later in the evening, the Dartmouth players entertained us with Light Up the Sky, in which our old friend, Ann Hopkins Potter, had one of the leads.

Sunday morning dawned clear and cool and by noontime farewells were in order for most of us and the long trek homeward began.

ODDS AND ENDS—Herb Stearns flying to Hanover with his young son Friday afternoon for a couple of hours of visiting Naramore, with his tomato juice slacks and hangover headdress which appeared Saturday morning The distribution of free Bromo-Seltzer by Marty Dwyer '34 Ernie Hedler selling his business and talking about retiring (for at least two months) Eddie Dyer getting away from medicine for his first vacation in many years only to face one of his star clients, Ruthie Ley Ruthie in turn telling us all about her own TV program over a Boston station Long distance travelers: DaveSmith and Rudy Pacht from California, AlCline and Fred Haley from Washington, CamDuncan and Chuck Gillan from Texas Dick Eberhart breaking his young daughter into Hanover early and faced with a sitter problem Don Hagerman checking on his new house in Hanover preparatory to taking over headmastership of the Clark 5ch001..... Ken Kurson nervous as a witch until sure there were enough steaks to go around Saturday night Doc Luria suggesting the ideal memorial gift, "Everyone chip in one dollar a year and let the last ten surviving men in the class split it" Bob Maida, Dick Muzzy,Harry Reynolds and Sax Ziemen showing off their new wives Frank Specht looking very incomplete without Brother Ralph on hand but still managing to confuse everyone. .... Al Sherwood with a moustache looking like John L. Lewis' eyebrows, which finally got trimmed Saturday morning DaveSmith, our old glee club leader, managing to lose his voice by early Saturday evening.

In closing for another year, Reunion again proved to us all that no matter what we are, what we do or where we live, we all have one ideal in common which links us together inseparably—Dartmouth. And so, to paraphrase President Dickey's words to the graduating class of 1950, "Now, so long. I say 'so long' because, in the Dartmouth fellowship, there is no parting".

P.S. Correction: The announcement in the June issue that Marjorie Wallace, widow of John A. Wallace, had a son in January was in error, and we extend our apologies. The boy was born to the John Wallaces of Boston.
