In handling an application for admission to Staunton, I had the pleasant surprise of finding you as a reference.... He is an attorney practicing here in Staunton after having gained some experience and background through a tour of three to four years with the F. B. I.
Contacts with classmates from Dartmouth are rare but I try to keep abreast of things as the ALUMNI MAGAZINE permits. Only had the good fortune of returning to Hanover once and that was rather briefly in 1948 - out of season for alumni....

Betimes I continue to be actively engaged in business as a vice president of the Harris Trust and Savings Bank, in religious activity as warden of the Trinity Episcopal Church, in civic affairs as trustee of the Ravinia Festival Association and the Alonzo Mather Foundation, in sports as a golfer (six months) and as a curler (five months), each year.
