The annual meeting of our association will be held Saturday, January 27, at the University Club. Dinner will be served at 7:00 P.M., followed by the business meeting and a talk by our honored guest, President John Dickey.
Dick Johnson '50 has spent many hours of tedious work in correcting our mailing list. Your secretary is very appreciative that this much needed job has been so capably handled. We hope every man on our roster will receive his notice of the annual meeting.
Two of the most prominent members of our top-notch enrollment committee stayed right in character as each of them recently produced a son. The baby boys, Thomas McKinlay, son of Don McKinlay '37, and Thomas Fisher, son of Dr. Cal Fisher '32, were both promptly enrolled in the class of '72.
The undergraduate luncheon held during the holidays was very successful in all respects. I am sure a large contingent of prospective students from Denver high schools present was duly impressed. Dr. Bill Curtis '36, acted as Master of Ceremonies and introduced the undergraduate speakers with a great deal of humor and good-will.
Bruce Pattee '54 spoke on the pre-opening freshman outing sponsored by the Outing Club which he attended—a very fine experience. Don Des Combes '54, whose father was an official in the Orange Bowl game at Miami, spoke on the value of participating in athletics. Don was a regular on the freshman football team. Tom Campbell '54 spoke on the importance of organized activities as a means of orientation and making friends, drawing from his experiences as a member of the band. Don McMichael '53 and Howie Bissell '51 gave delightful talks on phases of life at Dartmouth, the first on dormitory life and the second on fraternity life. Joe Dobos '52, a pre-medical student, had high praise for what Dartmouth has to offer in this field.
