Changing locations and addresses of the thousands of Dartmouth alumni has put a heavy burden on the College's very efficient Alumni Recorder, Miss Charlotte Ford. Therefore, it will be very helpful if you would forward to me or Miss Ford at Alumni Records Office, Crosby Hall, any changes for classmates including your own. At this writing we do not know the present address of Henry Octavec (formerly Route 2, Westport, Conn.) or RobertC. Reynolds, who presumably has returned to the New York area from Los Angeles.

President Dickey and President Conant of Harvard gave excellent addresses elaborating on vital current subjects such as military training, effect of world conditions on liberal arts colleges, land troops for Europe and related subjects. It was preceded by fraternizing in Wheelock Tavern and supplemented by the spirited alumni orchestra.
Commander Phil Coykendall will spend from March 12 to April 1 taking intensive Disaster Courses at the U. S. Navy Civil Engineering Corps School at Port Hueneme, Calif.

From the New York Herald-Tribune: "BOWLES ESTATE $1,140,263. A tax appraisal yesterday in the State Building, 80 Centre St. of the estate of Chester A. Bowles, chairman of the board of the Continental Industries, Inc., who died in a plane crash in the Hudson River on November 19, 1945, listed gross assets at $1,722,929 and a net of $1,140, 263. Mr. Bowles died intestate and the estate was equally divided among his wife, Mrs. Martha Lee Bowles, and a son, Robert E. Bowles, both of 895 Park Ave., and another son, Chester A. Bowles Jr. of Schenectady, N. Y." A close friend said that Chet always claimed he would make that million. Incidentally, I understand Bob Hardy was Chet's counsel.
