Brownie continues to distinguish himself in the literary world. We quote from a recent news release of Time, Inc.; "Francis Brown, senior editor of Time Magazine, was one of six United States journalists decorated by the Chilean Government at a ceremony held at its embassy in Washington on January 12th. Ambassador Felix Nieto del Rio awarded the newspapermen the order "Al Merito" in the interests of continental unity and hemispheric defense.

Brown, who heads Time's Latin American section, taught history at Dartmouth for three years after graduation. He then joined the New York Times, working first on that paper's now extinct magazine Current History, and then in the Sunday department as a special writer. He was an editor of the Times "News of the Week in Review," and became assistant editor of the Sunday magazine section. He joined Time in November, 1945."

In the February Fortune there is a photo of the still young-looking, auburn haired TibbyMarshall in the "Business Roundup" column. It says, "the new President of the Bank of the Manhattan Co. builds reproductions of early American furniture, using rare woods. Sailing is another of his hobbies."

Lucky people back in Hanover and registered at the Inn during January include: The Karl Kings, the Bud Petrequins, the Bob Borwells and Jake Penny. From the Rochester (N. Y.) Democrat & Chronicle comes this interesting news: Dr. Norris, a native of Dor- Chester, Mass., and a graduate of Dartmouth College and McGill University, joined the Kodak Park Medical Department in 1937 and has been assistant superintendent of the department since 1939. Dr. Norris has served as treasurer and is currently vice president of the Medical Society of Monroe County. He has also served as director of the New York State Society of Industrial Medicine, as an instructor in industrial medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and is a fellow of the American Association of Industrial physicians and Surgeons. A member of the staffs of Strong Memorial Hospital, Geneva Hospital and Genesee Hospital, he lives at 126 Edgemere Dr., Greece."
