From the President

This year and the immediate years ahead loom as yet another testing time in the long history of Dartmouth.

In such a time the human resources of any institution write the answers for the future. The Alumni Fund stands as one of the great channels through which the strength of Dartmouth's human resources becomes the strength of the College.

For that reason I welcome this opportunity to record the appreciation of the College to the men listed on these pages for the service they have rendered and will soon once again perform in mustering these resources behind the cause of education in our free society. To them, and to the thousands of alumni who will respond to them, Dartmouth owes both thanks and her confidence in the quality of her future.
