Dartmouth will be well represented in the next Winter Olympics which will be held in Norway, February 14-24, 1952. On the downhill and slalom squad, Brooks Dodge '51 is definitely assured a berth on the six-man team, while Bill Beck '53 as first alternate and Dave Lawrence '51 as second alternate are both likely to see action. In the nordic events, John Caldwell '50 and Charlie Tremblay '52 have both won places on the squad, while freshman Murray Kirby, from Quebec, will be the Dartmouth representative on the Canadian Olympic team.
Dean Neidlinger's daughter Sally and Dave Lawrence's wife, Andrea Mead Law- rence, are also scheduled to go to the 1952 Olympics as members of the U.S. women's downhill and slalom team.
Add to all this the fact that three Dart- mouth alumni—Steve Bradley '39, Dr. Amos R. Little '39 and John A. Rand '38 —are members of the nine-man Ski Games Committee of the U.S. Olympic Associa- tion, and Dartmouth's contribution to the Olympic games takes on impressive pro- portions.
