April 12 was a Red Letter Day for the Chattanooga Alumni. It was a real pleasure to have President Dickey meet with us.

The dinner meeting held at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club was well attended by local Alumni and their wives, undergraduates in town for spring vacation and their parents, and the headmasters of local high schools.

Everyone enjoyed hearing President Dickey not only depict the local color (students and faculty) in Hanover, but also give us some insight into the rough road ahead and the increasingly important role being played by our liberal arts institutions.

We had a showing of the film My FirstWeek at Dartmouth. This is an excellent film and certainly helped to bring back many pleasant memories. We want to thank JimKennedy Jr. '46 for the swell job he did in operating the movie equipment.

Joe Lane '21 served as master of ceremonies and very cleverly introduced President Dickey.

Alumni attending the meeting were C. O. Libbey '10, M. C. Ewing '13, J. H. Lane '21, A. P. Boyd '22, R. L. Maclellan '28, R. P. Williams '32, J. S. Fletcher Jr. '33, W. G. Raoul '33, R. H. Houck '34, V. D. Oehmig '36, J. D. Kennedy Jr. '46, J. H. Davenport Jr. '46, and G. G. Eaves '49.

Al Dickerson '3O had already done a swell job of promoting our fair city, and we hope President Dickey was able to return to Hanover with a favorable report.
