A SCHOLARSHIP FUND amounting to $1,000 a year has been established at Dartmouth by James B. Mann of Honolulu, Hawaii, in honor of his son, John Cline Mann, a member of the Class of 1945, it was announced last month by Prof. Francis J. Neef, chairman of the Committee on Scholarships.
The scholarship fund will be used to assist one or more worthy students at Dartmouth who are interested in engineering. John Mann received his B.S. degree in civil engineering from the Thayer School. James Mann, his father and donor of the scholarship, was a member of the Parents Committee for the Hopkins Center Project and recently was named to membership in the Dartmouth Associates.
