ROGER S. BROWN '45, who has been Assistant to the Secretary of the College during the past two years, resigned his college position as of July 1 in order to study abroad. He and Mrs. Brown will study hotel management at a Swiss university and will gain practical experience in European ski resorts.

Before joining the administrative staff of the College, Mr. Brown was assistant manager at the Hanover Inn and before that was manager of the Ravine Lodge at Mt. Moosilauke. As assistant to the Secretary of the College, he has been concerned with alumni affairs and the work of the Dartmouth Development Council.

As an undergraduate Mr. Brown was president of the Dartmouth Outing Club and of the Canoe Club, a member of Palaeopitus, and a letterman in crew, for which he has been faculty adviser this past year. After serving as a carrier-based fighter pilot with the Marine Air Corps in World War 11, he received his Dartmouth degree in 1948.
