Defensive halfback Charlie Curtis is going to the East-West game in San Francisco as the sole Dartmouth representative. One of his teammates in this encounter will be Dick Kazmaier of Princeton. Coach Tuss McLaughry is the head coach of the East aggregation, which plays the West in the annual Shrine benefit. . . . Jackson Hall of Coach Tommy Dent's soccer team (and also coach Bob Shawkey's baseball team) was chosen for the northern soccer team, which recently played an all-star group of rebels from south of the Mason-Dixon line. The game was played in Philadelphia and it constituted the equivalent of the Olympic trials in this international sport. The Olympic team will be chosen from the men who played in this game on both sides.
