A recent auto trip by the Secretary and Mrs. Rowe landed us first in Worcester for a pleasant call on Mrs. Arthur W. French. Mrs. French had recently returned from several months in Denver, going by auto with her son William K„ the assistant principal of North High School, Worcester. Mrs. French returned by train. She inquired about the 1952 Alumni Fund and said she failed to have had any notice so she immediately sent in a generous check.
On the return trip the stop was made with Mrs. Allison in Sherborn, living there in the old Butler house with her son Robert Allison, his wife and son James Francis Allison 2nd. A pleasant visit learning that Mrs. Allison had done much out-of-doors work during the summer on her flowers.
A letter dated Houston, Tex., from our youngest classmate Sturgis tells he is looking forward to the 65th Reunion. Mrs. Sturgis' eyesight is extremely poor, having left about one half strength of the right eye. It has been hot as but now is somewhat cooler. Had recently met Harrison Nichols '98, who is living in Houston. Sturgis wishes to be remembered to all the class and it includes "Miss Ford, if she remembers me."
