POLYTECHNIC Preparatory Country Day School, Brooklyn, N. Y., has been awarded the Dartmouth Plaque, given annually to that school whose delegation of three or more men in the freshman class achieves the highest scholastic average for the year. Polytechnic Country Day School, with an average of 3.024 for 1951-52 achieved by its delegation of four men, led the ten other preparatory and high schools which were in the running. Last year the plaque was awarded to Hanover High School, with a posted average of 3-693-

Other schools placing in the top ten, in order of their averages, were Columbia High School, Maplewood, N. J.; Midwood High School, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Memorial High School, Pelham, N. Y.; Woodroit Wilson High School, Washington, D. C.; New Rochelle (N. Y.) High School; Nichols School, Buffalo, N. Y.; Horace Mann School, New York City; Medford (Mass,) High School; and Newton (Mass.) High School.
