Hymn to Dartmouth

Stephen Chase '96 has written a Hymn toDartmouth which has been sent to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE by friends with the thought that some alumnus might wish to set it to music. The hymn follows:

Dartmouth our Mother Ageless and steadfast Honored and loved, By sons of the past.

Staunch as the mountains Stand fast we pray Strong with your lifeblood Of sons of today.

Dartmouth our Mother Bulwark of truth Guard well our freedom Guide straight our youth.

Members of the Dartmouth Music Department and Prof. Harry R. Wellman '07, whowrote the music for Men of Dartmouth, have expressed an interest in Mr. Chase's hymn. The ALUMNI MAGAZINE will be glad to receive and to pass on to the proper persons any music that alumni readers might wish to contribute.
