THE double loyalty of some of the graduates of the Medical School is again thoroughly demonstrated by their contributions to the Alumni Fund for 1951-1952. 477 contributors from a potential of 770 gave $16,376.33. This represents an increase in the average contribution from 15 fewer contributors. But the proportion of graduates still in school, internship, residency fellowship or other trainee status, or in the armed services has increased during the year while 24 faithful contributors have been removed from the list by death. The goal of 100% participation is still far away but a new influence has been brought to bear. The American Medical Education Foundation is encouraging medical graduates to give and Creighton Barker '13, Leroy C. Grau '12, Robert J. Beitel Jr. '46, and Michael V. Sciortino not listed below, earmarked their contributions through A.M.E.F. for Dartmouth. The National Fund for Medical Education combined with the A.M.E.F. for a total contribution of $8,316 toward the general funds of the College, for the past year.
