Ravine Lodge Closed

Dartmouth's Moosilauke Ravine Lodge at Warren, N. H., was closed by the College on November 1 and will not be reopened until about June 1. Operation of the Blue Ridge ski tow at Moosilauke will also be suspended for the coming winter. The portable tow has been moved to Hanover to be used on the golf course slope.

Increased operating costs, need for capital expenditures, and various other complications were factors in the Trustees' decision to suspend Ravine Lodge operations this winter. According to Robert S. Monahan '29. manager of the College's outing properties, this step does not necessarily mean that winter recreation facilities at Moosilauke will be permanently closed.
