Honoring a '39

In recognition of nearly 40 years of service by Dr. Ludwig J. Pyrtek '39, Hartford Hospital in Connecticut has created its first chair in surgery. To date over 1,300 donors have contributed nearly $950,000 toward the hospital's goal of a $1 million endowment that will support teaching and research by its department of surgery.
