After dropping two of their first five games, Coach Tom Dent's soccer squad wound up the season in a blaze of glory by sweeping to five consecutive wins for a season record of 7 wins against 2 defeats. The Indian booters defeated the University of Connecticut 5-1, then dropped Harvard 5-0, defeated Brown 7-1, edged Boston University 1-0, and got by Cornell in the season's finale by a 2-1 count. Chet Caswell and Bob Drawbaugh have been the big guns in the Dartmouth attack for most of the season, while Jack Hall at fullback has been, of course, a defensive standout.
In the game with Boston University, Tom Dent was laid up with the grippe so Charlie Fleet, the team manager, and Captain Jack Hall, took charge of the trip and ran the team on the field. While admitting that Dartmouth should have scored more, the co-coaches were justly proud of this victory. Jim Pradilla tallied a third-period goal which gave them the game.
