As guest speaker to five alumni associations, President Dickey will be absent from Hanover for brief periods during February and March.

His first engagement takes him to the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland, on February 1, when President Dickey will be guest of honor at a reception and dinner at the Hotel Statler. On February 23 he will speak before the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Maine, at a dinner to be given at the Eastland Hotel, Portland. President Dickey's third February meeting with alumni takes him to Boston on the 26th, when he will be the guest of the Dartmouth Alumni Association at the dinner at the Hotel Statler at 6:30 p.m. In March, President Dickey plans first to visit the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern New Jersey on the 6th, and to go to Montreal to speak to the Quebec Alumni Association on March 11.

Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23, Dean of the College, will speak before the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore on February 14, going on the next day to Wilmington, where he will be the guest of honor at a dinner to be given at the DuPont Country Club at 6:00 p.m. by the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Delaware.

Allen R. Foley '20, Professor of History and Director of the Great Issues Course, is scheduled to be the main speaker at a dinner meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia, at the Engineers' Club of Philadelphia, on March 28, at 6:00 p.m.

Among the speakers who met with alumni groups during the past two months were President Dickey, who spoke before the Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh on January 29; Robert L. Allen '45, Associate with the Dartmouth Development Council and Thomas J. Dent, Assistant Professor of Physical Education, before the Cheshire County Dartmouth Alumni Association on November 29; David C. Nutt '41, Arctic Specialist, before the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Maine in Portland, December 19; Ross McKenney, D.O.C. Woodcraft Adviser, before the North Shore Dartmouth Club in Lynn, on December 27; Milton J. Piepul, Assistant Coach of Football, before the Dartmouth Club of Lowell, December 28; Edward T. Chamberlain Jr. '36, Executive Officer of the College, before the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland, December 29, and the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia, on January 16.

Prof. Stearns Morse, Dean of Freshmen, with Leslie F. Murch, Professor of Physics, attended the Freshman Fathers' dinner given by the Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York in New York City, January 31.
