Ned (Edward Grout) Baldwin, whose activities and whereabouts have been unknown to us and to the College for at least 25 years, has finally been located. His present address is P.O. Box 301, Milton, Fla., where he has been accustomed to spend the winters. War-ren Kendall had some letters from him and planned to see him. Warren said he seemed to be in excellent spirits and thinks he is pleased to again be in touch with old friends. In his letters he asked about one and another of his classmates, principally those with whom he had been more or less intimate. During the past 25 years Ned has done considerable travelling throughout the East, South and Central West. For a considerable time he was Superintendent of Grounds at the Supply Depot of the Army Air Service at Little Rock, Ark. Then for a few years he was in the Southeast, at Birmingham, St. Petersburg and Miami. Latterly he has been in Washington a good portion of the time somewhat in the status of the small contractor doing general repair work on homes and apartments, such as painting, roofing, etc., picking up his own labor as conditions might warrant, following about the same routine during those portions of the year when weather conditions are more favorable below the frost belt. As a pastime he has written some articles which have appeared in local papers and other publications. Warren says he is rapidly being indoctrinated again with the '99 serum and will be glad to hear from any who care to write to him. Welcome back to our ranks, Ned! "A returning prodigal is not to be exchanged for gold." —Chinese proverb.

Among names President Truman sent to the Senate January 23 for confirmation as key State Department Officials, was that of Howland B. Sargeant, Dartmouth '32, and son of Mot Sargeant, to be Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs. For some time he has held important posts in the State Department— his last before the new one was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs. He was recently married to Myrna Loy, famous motion picture actress.

Rodney and Margaret Sanborn enjoyed a trip to the West Indies in January and visited, among other places, Cuba and Jamaica and spent Rodney's birthday, January 5, in Nassau in the Bahamas.

When you read this the 52nd Annual '99 Roundup will have come and gone. A report of it will be in the April issue.

Felicitations for March birthdays to Benezet and Skinner.

Send some news to your Secretary.
