As the date of our 1972 reunion comes nearer, those who plan to attend may wish to know that the Committee chairman plans to be on hand at the Hanover Inn early Friday afternoon, ready to greet the arrivals. Those for whom rooms have been reserved will first register, and then report at the Class Headquarters on the second floor, to make sure that everything essential to a comfortable stay is all ready.
The program of events planned by the Committee assumes that much time will be spent in our Headquarters, and that suitable entertainment should be available, even when the College has scheduled receptions and concerts to which we are invited. We should not be expected to "do everything."
For the Class, the first real "event" will be the dinner of Friday at 6:30 in our headquarters room. During the evening there may be an opportunity to read messages from those unable to attend, and from some of the Class Family who wish in this way to share in our Reunion.
Other details will be provided in time to permit full enjoyment of the whole Hanover visit.
My son spent a half hour with ArthurChivers at Arthur's home in Meriden. Charles M. reported him to be the same person whom you have known for years. His mind was exceptionally clear. He was interested in news of his classmates and the community. He has worked inside his house and we hear that his thumb will be as green as ever when it comes time to tend his garden and grounds. He spoke of sons who will bring" him to and from the Reunion, as he prefers to live at home.
We look forward to a record gathering at our 70th.
