On January 14 members and wices joined forces at a most successful cocktail party arranged by Cliff Watson '22 at the City Club. Newscaster Cedric Foster '24 was in town and proved a worthy addition to the evening's fellowship.

Those attending were: Clifford M. Cuddy '11 Wesley C.Thompson '17, Clarence W. Pierce '18 Clifton E. Watson '22, Merrill W. Whittemore '28, Merrill C. Dubay '34, Earl Arthurs '35, Norman A. Askey '43, and W. M. Evans '47.

The next day this group, plus Prof. Augustin V. Goldiere '19, were the guests of Cliff Watson at the Charlotte Rotary Club luncheon to hear the guest speaker, Cedric Foster. These two affairs have brought alumni activity to a new high here and have proved a real stimulus.

Wes Thompson has invited the group to a spring party at his Catawba River cabin, the date to be announced late.

Monthly luncheons are held at the City Club, the third Friday, at 1:00 P.M. All visiting alumni are cordially invited to attend when in the vicinity.
