On the evening of October 23, members and wives of the Charlotte Club were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley C. Thompson '17 at their Catawba River lodge, 15 miles from here in South Carolina.

Cocktails before a roaring fire guaranteed an enthusiastic show of lusty Dartmouth spirit in the form of cheers and songs, ably led by "Cheerleader-Choirmaster" Dubay. Dinner, consisting of roast turkey and whole roast pig, with all the trimmings, was delicious indeed.

After dinner horseshoes and shuffleboard competed with the fireside for attention. Of the eager beavers participating, Thompson was outstanding at horseshoes, while Eddy and Dubay carried off the doubles shuffleboard honors for the Class of 1934. Further fellowship around the fire brought to a close a most pleasant and memorable evening.
