This Month
April, 1952
IN closing his Convocation Address to the undergraduates last fall, President Dickey said, "We'll be with you all the way, and good luck." One form of that backing is the College's advisory and guidance program, designed to help the individual student to find the answer to any personal problem that might be slowing up his progress in college. The story of the program is told in a series of photographs taken by Adrian Bouchard, College photographer. This feature, "With YouAll the Way," begins on Page 18.
A charming newcomer to the Hanover community is Ellen Duke, wife of F. DuSossoit Duke '18 and former Managing Editor of McCall's Magazine. The Dukes have purchased the Goodfellow farm and made it their yearround home, thus realizing what seems to be the dream of nearly all Dartmouth men. Mrs. Duke has been persuaded to give our readers the vicarious pleasure of Hanover farm ownership by writing We Bought a Hanover Farm (Page 22).
A full description of the 1952 Hanover Holiday, written by Prof. Herbert W. Hill, the director, will be found on Page 25. And beginning on Page 29 is the story of the successful launching of the 1952 Alumni Fund, with a listing of hundreds of class Fund workers.
