Dean of Freshmen Stearns Morse and Robert L. Allen '45, Assistant to the Secretary of the College, made a triumphal visit to the April 2 dinner meeting of this Club and aided magnificently in producing a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Seventy-five members and their wives joined the festivities at the Onondaga Golf Club to partake of Louis' famous roast beef dinner and hear our guests.

The Mohawk Valley Club in Utica blew up a boiler to scare the Hanover visitors out of town the previous evening; Syracuse had no reasons for taking such drastic action and many reasons to wish that their stay might be prolonged or repeated.

M. Carter Strickland '29, our veep, presided in the absence of Prexy John White '41, who is wintering in the Navy. Several new members were introduced, along with several old ones whom we were pleased to see after long absences.

A brief preliminary program led up to the annual meeting and election of officers, for which Gardy Spring '35 laid the tracks, with the assistance of Dick Spencer '36 and BillMcNulty '37. There was no derailment encountered with the following slate of officers: President—M. Carter Strickland '29; VeepFrank Welch '31; Secretary—Norman Simpson '44; Assistant Secretary—Rex Felton '45; Treasurer—Bill Morrow '41.

Dean Morse entertained and amused us with his account of the Utica explosion, followed by a serious discussion of his interesting experiences with freshmen classes and the impact of war—hot, cold or otherwise—on Dartmouth and her sister colleges. Boh Allen brought the program to a close with a wonderful set of Kodachrome slides of Hanover scenes.

Our next event will be the annual Dartmouth-Penn-Cornell clambake in mid-June, with Penn hosting the event this year. All Dartmouth men in the vicinity should make it a point to attend this always-pleasant occasion.
