The Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania's weekly luncheons have been having approximately 25 alumni in attendance for the past several months. Merrill McLane '42, luncheon chairman, has been creating more interest in the luncheons by having an occasional speaker and showing various Dartmouth films. On March 26 the films Dartmouth Outdoors and 1951 Football Scrapbook were shown. We all congratulate Merrill Lane on his efforts in improving the luncheon and attendance. Merrill has also been obtaining publicity for Dartmouth by distributing material to the local high schools and preparatory schools.

The interviewing committee, Ed Chinlun '29, Bill Eaton '17, and Bill Honkle '33, have interviewed over 40 applicants so far this year, and we will certainly know the results of their efforts at the end of this month.

A Wah-Hoo-Wah goes to Shep Patterson '24, who has been appointed vice president of Peoples First National Bank in Pittsburgh. Fred Babcock '36 and Stew Steffey '41 were elected trustees of Shadyside Academy. Stew Steffey also has been appointed trustee of the Metropolitan Y. M. C. A. Blair Rainey '34 has been appointed manager of the Electric Weld Tube Division of the Jones and Laughlin Corporation. Marty Baruth '45 is running for County Committeeman on the Democratic slate.

Velma and Mac Corner '44 were blessed on March 29 with twin boys (Jack and Jim) which makes four boys for the Corner family. Mac is hoping to have at least one of them accepted into Dartmouth College. The Stew Steffeys are expecting their fourth this June. The FredGarfields are expecting their "Class of '74" also in June.

Carl Tracy '45, chairman of the picnic, has announced that it will be held at the Shadyside Academy on Friday, July 11. We are giving ample notice of this picnic so that this year we will have a real get-together.

The Dartmouth Club of Western Pennsylvania is in the process of preparing a directory for this area and the secretary sincerely urges all alumni in this area to mail in the questionnaire immediately.
