The Big Green of the Central Pennsylvania area gathered for their annual dinner meeting on April 7, in the Governor's Room of the Penn-Harris Hotel in Harrisburg. About 35 members were present to enjoy some liquid refreshment, an excellent dinner and a very entertaining talk by John C. Heston '28 of Philadelphia, our District Alumni Councilor. John was filling in for Sid Hay-ward, '26, Secretary of the College, who came down with the virus at the last minute and was unable to be with us.
It was very gratifying to see such a large turnout of under graduates at the meeting. It was their last night of spring vacation at home and we appreciated their presence. Honors for the longest distance traveled were pretty evenly split between Irv Kiesling '42 who journeyed all the way from Hollidaysburg, and Herb Bayer '38 who made the trek from Tyrone.
President John Page '39 presided at the head table in his usual good humor. John called upon Ken Mac Donald '30 for a report on the activities of the interviewing committee which Ken handled so well during the past year, and also asked Bo Daniels '32, enrollment program chairman, to bring us up to date on his committee's progress. Dick O'Daniel '35, program chairman, pleaded for some good Samaritans to come forth with a site for our Club picnic which is the next event coming up. Dave Vanderhoof '49, who cased the recent Glee Club concert in Baltimore, came forth with a short critique on this affair.
The slate of the nominating committee headed by Harold, Van Riper '14 was unanimously accepted, and as a result our officers for this year are Ken Mac Donald '30, president; Dick O'Daniel '35, vice president; and Burt Proom '49, secretary-treasurer.
