Dartmouth was in town on September 10 when the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania held its annual Pre-College Get-Together in the Appian Room of the Hotel Harrisburger in Harrisburg. Nine entering freshmen and their dads were the guests of honor and a goodly number of area alumni were there to give the men of the class of '56 a rousing send-off. We were especially glad to see the large contingent from Williams- port headed by Don Cameron '36 and HermSchneebeli '3O. Also on hand was Dr. RobertF. Dickey '32 from Danville, who is President Dickey's brother. "Long distance" stars were Herb Bayer '38 from Tyrone and Phil Klein- schmidt '55 from Hollidaysburg.
After dinner Ken Mac Donald, '30, president of the Club, said a few words of welcome to the group and then we were treated to two enjoyable motion pictures from the Dartmouth College films collection.
The officers are busy setting up an entertaining program of events for the '52-'53 season. Next on the agenda is a Dartmouth Night dinner. The Club has already started weekly luncheons. We meet every Friday at 12:15 on the balcony of the Pickwick Tavern in the Hotel Harrisburger. Any alumni visiting or passing through Harrisburg are more than welcome to join us.
