The first man to be named to a recently created post in the Interstate Commerce Commission, Edward F. Hamm '30 has begun his new duties as Managing Director. As such he assumes all of the administrative functions of the Commission.

Since 1933 Mr. Hamm has been president and treasurer of Traffic Service Corporation, which publishes Traffic World Daily, Traffic Bulletin and other papers. In addition he is president and treasurer of the College of Advanced Traffic in Chicago, a technical night and day school for instruction in traffic management and interstate commerce law; as well as the Academy of Advanced Traffic, a similar school with offices in New York and Philadelphia. A resident of McLean, Va., Mr. Hamm has held many honorary positions, including serving as president of the Associated Business Publications; as a member of the board of directors of the Advertising Federation of America; and presently as secretary of the Associated Traffic Clubs Foundation.
