The Dartmouth Alumni Association of North Texas will be host on November 13-14 to a regional conference of alumni on strengthening Dartmouth in the Southwest. Sponsored by the Alumni Council, the conference at the Hotel Adolphus will bring together representatives from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas to discuss organization of Dartmouth activities in the Southwest, with special attention devoted to increased efforts to enroll top-grade students from this section.
Working sessions will be held all day Friday and on Saturday morning. Present from the College will be Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College; Albert I. Dickerson '30, Director of Admissions and head of the financial aid program; and Edward T. Chamberlain '36, Executive Officer of the College and executive secretary of the Alumni Council Committee on Enrollment of New Students.
On Saturday evening, the 14th, a banquet for all alumni of the region and their wives will be held at the Lakewood Country Club, after the SMU-Arkansas football game. The College officers attending the conference will speak briefly. The Dallas committee is hard at work making plans for this important conference and alumni get-together, and everything points to one of the biggest Dartmouth occasions ever staged in the Southwest.
