Alumni in this area and their wives met on October 16 at the Beach House, New Orleans, to celebrate Dartmouth Night with cocktails and dinner.

The old college songs were sung - some better than others accompanied by the special record received from the College for this occasion.

Plans were made for the anticipated visit or Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Hayward and A1 Dickerson early in November. Elaborate details were also made for a large cocktail party to be held during the Christmas holidays, honoring students from this area and their families.

Officers elected for the coming year were: President James W. Keating '41; Vice President—Arthur S. Graham '24; Secretary Brunswick G. Deutsch '35; Treasurer - John Madigan '49.

Perhaps the most important item of business was the election of Min Elsasser, BobElsasser's good wife, as chairman of a ladies auxiliary. Bless 'em!

Those attending the meeting were Art Graham '24 (and wife Alice), Bob Elsasser 21 (and wife Min), Jack Buck '44 (and wife Patricia), Jim Keating '41 (and wife Bernice), Jim Todd '38 (and wife Phyllis), Mel Lee '42 (and wife Frances), John Madigan '49 (and wife Mary Jane), Herman J. Obermayer '46.
