Your Secretary had a pleasant month at Bar Harbor with way-stops, going and returning, with his nephew, Bill Cleaves '4O and family at Rockport on Cape Ann. JohnAmes sent me some good advice and philosophical comment, "The summer has gone by quickly - but Time, like everything else, seems to have accelerated. I know it will seem that way to you in Bar Harbor, but all the best for an enjoyable visit. 'Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.'" Thank you, John - I did.
Felicitations to Ed Lindman. He and Marian Starling Tate announce their marriage on July 20 at the First Christian Church, Athens, Ga. They were to be at home after September 15 at Lanark Village, Fla.

Jim and Mary Colton had a cook-out in mid-August at their camp at Webster Lake - near Worcester. There were 14 classmates and wives present and the "good time had by all" inspired Paul and Agatha Goward to plan the next get-together for November 6 at their home in Shrewsbury.
Karl and Polly Shedd were delighted to have a visit at their home in Athens, Ga., from Hi and Laura McLellan, who were en route from their home in Tyler, Tex., to visit their daughter and family in Atlanta, and to spend some weeks golfing at Highland in the Georgia mountains.

The Alumni Records Office has been ad- vised of the death of Henry B. Osborn on April 3, 1954. His home was in Bellows Falls, Vt. After leaving Dartmouth at the end of his freshman year he attended Harvard, Brown, Columbia, and McGill. He was never an active member of the Class after our graduation.
I also regret to report the death of NeilBrush, whose obituary will be found in this or a subsequent issue of the MAGAZINE. The sympathy of the Class is expressed to Neil's family.
The column next month should have an announcement from Cliff Bean, Chairman of 1916's Fiftieth Reunion Committee, with the names of the committee, the sub-committees and a general outline of the big time in June next year. Watch for it.
