IN memory of Sidney Cox, Professor of English at Dartmouth from 1927 to 1952, a new prize of $100 is being offered annually for the best piece of undergraduate writing submitted in competition. It has been established by Professor Cox's former students and friends, and is to be administered by a committee, of which Robert Frost '96 and A. B. Guthrie are honorary chairmen and Budd Schulberg '36 is active chairman.
The purpose of the prize has been stated by the Committee as follows:
