Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frost, as usual, spent the cold months at their winter home in Florida. In March they motored through the southern part of states bordering on the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Louisiana. Among the places they visited were Tallahassee, Panama City, Pensacola, Mobile, Biloxi, New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Natchez. They made many delightful side-trips to beautiful old historic homes. Early in May they will return to their home in Swampscott, Mass.
Your secretary was a dinner guest of Dr. Edwin H. Allen '85 at his Beacon Hill home in Boston on the evening of his 90th birthday on April 16. His son Nathaniel, who lives with his father, was the other member of the trio present. Dr. Allen is holding his age remarkably well and retains a lively interest in domestic and foreign news.
From England has come an interesting letter from Mrs. Robert B. Taylor, the former Elizabeth Blakely. She, her husband and David, their 12-year-old nephew, have been in England since last August, Mr. Taylor having been granted a year's leave of absence from Phillips Andover Academy, where he is instructor in Spanish. They lived until after Christmas in the south of England, near Winchester, which they found to be a lovely old city with a cathedral and surroundings they much enjoyed. David was placed in school soon after their arrival. The first of January they went to live in a small town near the English Channel, nine miles from Bournemouth. A few weeks later Mr. Taylor went to Spain to remain there until the first of April when he would go to Rome and be met there by Mrs. Taylor and David, then on his Easter school holiday. After three weeks in Italy and a few days in Paris they planned to return to England, have David go back to school, they to remain there until it became time to return home in September;
