June designates another Mardigras for Hanover and environs... a new crop of Dartmouth men freshly clad in sheepskins, denoting completion of four wonderful years at Dartmouth College... the Bema, clay pipes ... all behind now ... visitors and old alumni for the formal Commencement exercises. This marks the close of another academic year in Hanover until September following. But, hear you now ... we of the Atlanta alumni are constantly seeking different facets to spread the Dartmouth word in the Southland! Of late, at a called meeting, a new bomb broke loose at the home of AlvaWilson '25, whence Alva presented a tremendous new plan: formation of a University Club in Atlanta, comprising Ivy League alumni, of which we have some 1500 men to approach on the matter; or, perhaps, an Eastern college round-up, involving a permanent club house with all facilities for dining, sleeping and the rest. It's still in the formative stages, but we've started to push the bug around among the Ivy Leaguers, and it all looks good!

Change to new monthly luncheon meeting environs: Beasley's House of Fine Foods, 1701 West Peach tree St., the last Monday of each month, at 12:30 sharp. Enthusiastic reception of the new site was enjoyed recently, and the name tells the story - darned good food. The welcome mat is always out for any of you that happen along through Atlanta. At this recent meeting, other new plans took a firm hold on the group ... ice hockey in Georgia!! Yes, sir; talk is getting hot on round-robin matches among Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Dartmouth, in Atlanta, during the Christmas Holidays. That's a real score for the books ... more about this later.

TO NOTE: Visits from Tom Murdough '26, representing American Hospital Supplies, and Roger Wilde 'si, representing the Simmons Furniture Company, at a recent hospital convention in Atlanta.... Phone chat with Professor Messer, passing through en route to retirement in Winston Salem, N. C., from the Latin and Greek fields in Hanover. ...
