A RECORD number of alumni and their families are expected in Hanover over the Reunion Weekend, June 18-20, when more than 1500 will take over all available dormitory space and overflow into additional accommodations in the town and elsewhere. The classes of 1914. 1923, 1924 1925, 1944, 1948' 1949 and 1950 are reuning groups who, after registration on Friday afternoon, will begin a round of greetings and activities. Class banquets will take place Friday evening, with the President's Reception scheduled at 8:45 and the alumni dance at 10:00.
The 100th anniversary this year of the General Association of Alumni of Dartmouth College will highlight the traditional alumni luncheon held at 12:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Presided over by Horace F. Taylor '23, Vice President of the General Association, the meeting will also be addressed by President Dickey and Charles J. Zimmerman '23, Trustee of the College, who will speak on behalf of the alumni. In this fitting setting also, the bronze memorial tablet to the late Dr. John W. Bowler, for many years head of the Department of Physical Education, will be presented by alumni to the College. As has been the custom for the past two years wives have been invited to attend the luncheon. Later in the afternoon, class baseball games, picnics and barbecues are on the program.
More class banquets will take place Saturday evening, followed by the Players performance of Harvey. Sunday morning will bring the final activities of the weekend, with class memorial services and meetings, followed by luncheons - many of these in picnic form.
