Our annual dinner meeting at Shenorock Shore Club in Rye, N. Y., on May 23 was a great success. Over 150 were in attendance to hear President John S. Dickey's talk and to greet the incoming Westchester delegates to the Class of 1959.

The order of business included first, a report from Vice President Jack Masten '33, chairman of the enrollment committee. Of the thirty boys comprising the incoming freshman group, 23 were able to attend, the other seven being away at prep school. We all enjoyed meeting these boys, many of whom are going to Dartmouth because of the efforts of our enrollment committee. We owe Jack and his committee a round of applause for their fine work.

Next on the agenda was a treasurer's report from Bill Gray '42, who advised that we now had 243 paid members against 207 last year, an increase of almost 20%. Also it was noted that 52 members made additional contributions totaling $l78.

John Crandell '40, chairman of our Glee Club Concert committee made a brief report, the net of which was a profit of $1,460.12. A check for this amount was presented to President Dickey to be applied to our Scholarship Fund at the College. On the night of the concert, the Rye High School Auditorium was filled nearly to capacity, as over 900 persons heard the finest college glee club perform. I am sure that those of you who attended will attest to this high and well deserved praise.

Roily Morton '34, representing the nominating committee, presented the following slate for next year and a motion for unanimous election carried on a voice vote:

President - John W. Hubbell '21; Vice President (Enrollment) — John E. Masten '33; Vice President (Activities) - John U. Cranell '40; Secretary-Treasurer - William H. Gray '42; Governors (term to expire 1958) — Arthur E. Allen, Jr. '32, Patrick Gorman '38, Richard Hazen '32, James K. Huntington Jr. '49 and Jay C. Whitehair '32.

Mike Sherman '29, past president of our Club, then presented a silver bowl to retiring President Art A Lien '32. This bowl was presented in appreciation of the great amount of time and effort that Art gave to the Club during the past year. Art is very much responsible for the great forward stride the Westchester Club took this year. He was a working president, if ever there was one, and the officers and governors join me in thanking Art for his efforts.

John Glover, All American swimmer and outstanding member of the Class of 1955, was our guest for the evening, in order that we could present him with a watch in appreciation of his help in our enrollment efforts. Art Allen conveyed our thanks to John and made the presentation.

President John S. Dickey was then introduced and gave us a fine message about the work of the College and addressed some inspiring remarks to the young freshmen-to-be and their fathers who were also present.

With the singing of Men of Dartmouth, the meeting closed.
