Central New Jersey

The Dartmouth Club of Central New Jersey held its final meeting of the 1954-55 Year on June 20, at the Carteret Club at Trenton, N. J. The meeting was in the nature of a lawn party to which the wives and lady guests of the members were invited, and as usually proves to be the case, it was necessary to hold the affair indoors because of the inclement weather. The Carteret Club provided us with most adequate quarters, however, and served a delightful buffet supper. Each of the ladies was presented a small gift on behalf of the club in token recognition of their indulgence of the time spent by their husbands through-out the year in club activities.

There were forty members and wives present and a short business meeting was conducted, during which the election of officers for the ensuing year took place. The officers elected were Ivan Bash '35, President; FrankCole '46, Vice President; Richard Beshlin '28, Secretary; Richard J.. S. Barlow Jr. '48, Treasurer; with the following members appointed to the Executive Committee: Leroy Height '26; George Barlow '43; Ira Safron '28.

The club's first meeting of the 1955-56 seasoil was held at the Glendale Tavern, 48 New Hillcrest Ave., Trenton, N. J., on September 23, at 8:15 p.m., at which time plans were completed for the Dartmouth Night celebration and the program completed for the rest of the year.
