There is little news to report from the nonagenarians of '85. After an energetic appeal from the secretary for a "Yes" to the question, "Will you attend the 70th anniversary of the graduation of the Class of '85?" only Dr. Edwin Allen has given an answer; his physical condition is such that he will be unable to make the trip to Hanover next June. Dr. Warren Adams, absorbed in the distractions of Palm Beach, sends a Christmas card with no comment, and John Brooks simply says that he and Mrs. Brooks will be at the Exeter Inn, Exeter, N. H„ after January 15. The woes of a secretary!
Mrs. Charles F. Chase is at the Villa Dora Hotel, Mt. Dora, Fla., for the winter. She will be able to see an old friend, Frank Sanborn '87, who was a roommate of her husband when both attended the Thayer School following Sanborn's graduation. He also winters in Mt. Dora.
An appreciated letter from Mrs. E. P. Buchanan (Marion Bayley) tells that her son Eustace had a delightful summer vagabonding in Europe and is now in his second year at the Harvard Law School. She enclosed a snapshot of two cherubic grandchildren in whom her father, if he could see (and who knows that he cannot) would take great delight.
At a recent meeting of the New Hampshire Tourist Society of St. Petersburg, the secretary met Mrs. P. A. Campbell a daughter of Rosecrans Pillsbury. Known to 11s as Rie Pillsbury she, with the other members of the Pillsbury family, regularly attended the '85 reunions in Hanover. She is now actively engaged in the real estate business in St. Petersburg.
