Arrangements are under way for a spring dance on March 25 at the Stewart Manor Country Club. Dan Denharn '31 is chairman, and has an able committee of Butch Hillard '41, Ed Warnke '19, and Wally Rushmore '32. Dan has enlisted the efforts of Dorothy Darby, wife of Walt Darby '40, to help out on the distaff side of the picture. Dorothy is the young lady who has been after our executive committee to include wives in more of our activities. She has a sub-committee appointed, made up of several wives of members, and promises to use their combined influences to create additional interest in attending the dance. The committee plans a new approach for this affair. Small groups of five or six couples, headed up by one executive committee member, are to meet at the home of that member prior to actually going to the country club. By concentrating the efforts of the group heads on men who have not shown active interest heretofore, we hope to bring the association closer together, or at least to show a very large turnout for the dance.

The association wishes to congratulate the college on their selection of Robert Blackman from Denver as head coach of football. All our members wish him the greatest success. We hope his previous record in the field will continue on the Ivy League gridirons he will be visiting in the fall.

Red Rolfe will be visiting with us March 1, at a gathering similar to the one we held last spring when Tuss and his staff came down to Long Island. Art Kelleher is handling the affair, and promises a good turnout of local "talent."

Jack Coulson '39 is beating the drums for his next beach party at Gilgow Beach, permanently set now for June 25. Dick Darby 41 has promised to pitch in on the committee he helped with last year, and John Gambling Jr. '51 has been badgered into admitting that publicity will be forthcoming from his general direction to bring out the faithful. It was amazing to learn the area reached by John and his dad on the airways. One Dartmouth man and his wife from middle New Jersey heard John's program on the air one morning, during which he was talking about the party, and must have travelled at least five hours round-trip in attending and returning from same. They were glad they came, too. It was that good a party.

We sadly announce the moving of BillWischmann '38 to Pittsburgh. Bill was with us a short time, but already was a member of our executive committee and displayed keen interest. Good luck, Bill, and more power to Pittsburgh.

We gladly announce the arrival into the area of Bill Cashell '41 from Bryn Mawr, Pa. "Uncus" is with the Telephone Company, and should find pleasant company here among Carll Buhler '30, AI Fisher '29, Ted Girault '27 and others. Bill has bought a home in Roslyn, and plans to move Marie and the children in very soon.
