On Tuesday evening, January 25, the 48th annual meeting and dinner of the Philadelphia Club was held at the Merion Cricket Club at Haverford, Pa. A large turnout of over 175 alumni and their wives or girl friends attended to enjoy the dinner and to hear Prof.Allen R. Foley '20 give a most interesting talk on the changes at Dartmouth. His scintillating comments covered everything from Tanzi's to Rollins Chapel. We were also honored to have Doggie Julian attend and give a few comments on the basketball squard.

The nominating committee, composed of Dr. George A. Hahn '32, chairman, JosephM. Flounders '47 and Edmund J. Byrkit '47 nominated the following for office for the year 1955: President - Joseph C. Mansfield '44, Vice-President — E. Smedly Ward '43, Secretary - William C. Miller '46, Treasurer - Robert S. March '47. The one member of the executive committee for a term of two years - Samuel R. Roberts '51. The slate was unanimously elected.

Our thanks go to Ed Byrkit '47 for his excellent services the past two years as treasurer, and also to Smed Ward '43 for making all arrangements for the annual dinner.

We were very happy to have Corny Miller '39 attend a recent luncheon at the Dartmouth-Princeton Club. Corny was our faithful secretary for many years, and we welcome him and all other ex-Philadelphians to have lunch with us whenever they are visiting Philly. Corny is now with Conover-Mast in Essex, Conn.

We are pleased to have Robert B. Binswanger '52 as chairman of the enrollment committee once again, and to welcome RussellC. Dilks '51 as our new assistant secretary. We are looking for big things from both of them.

Please send in your dues immediately if you haven't done so already. Don't forget the Glee Club Concert on Monday evening, March 28. We want to see all Philadelphia alumni there!
