All members of the Dartmouth Alumni will receive notice that this year's Alumni Fund Campaign will begin the first of April, as usual A list of the Fund contributors by classes, published each year in this MAGAZINE as a part of the Class Notes of each individual Class., is read probably more carefully than any other item in the Class Notes in which this list is published. One has only to compare the published names of contributors in each Class with the names of members of that Class published in the Dartmouth College Catalogue to fully realize what a wonderful list of loyal alumni the list of contributors is. It indeed is a Roll of Honor, to which no alumnus should allow his name to be lacking.

Dr. Frank B. Sanborn '87, outstanding and widely known member of the Dartmouth alumni, now at Mt. Dora, Fla., on his, usual winter vacation, observed his 90th birthday on January 15 last. Before leaving for the South your secretary received from him, as others of his many friends undoubtedly did, a 48-page illustrated brochure entitled "Speaking of The Founder of Sanborn Company." It is an interesting story of a long and highly successful career, its pages filled with incidents and happenings through the years - a story told to its readers in a simple, yet delightfully original style. For your high achievements in life, Frank, we, the five living members of the Class of '89, extend to you our most cordial felicitations and best wishes.

Walter Seager Sullivan, prominent and popular member of our Class, died 6 September 1949. Our classmate was survived by four daughters (arranged in order of birth from oldest down): Elinor Loomis Sullivan, Jeanet Ellinwood Sullivan, Constance Seager Sullivan and Nancy Alison Sullivan (the first three of whom were married), and one son, the youngest of the children. All are now living. Their married names, home addresses, etc., are as follows:

Walter Seager Sullivan Jr., Yale '40, foreign staff correspondent of the New YorkTimes, married in 1950 Miss Mary Barrett of Santa Barbara, Calif., whom he met while on an assignment for the Times in Shanghai, China. Their children are: Elizabeth Anne Sullivan and Catherine Sullivan. Mrs. Sullivan lives in West Berlin, Germany, where her husband was stationed, when he recently left for Little America in Antarctica to report for the New York Times explorations now being made in the South Polar region by the powerful United States Naval icebreaker Atka, upon which her adventure-loving husband is aboard.

We are indebted to Miss Nancy A. Sullivanfor this carefully prepared family report.
