Our class president reports that he has been busily engaged since last summer modernizing and improving the facilities of nearly all departments in the plant of the Great Falls (Mont.) Tribune, of which he has been publisher for more than a half-century. The construction of a new building for his plant quite soon is intended. "Doc" believes the situation in Great Falls justifies such action.
The following announcement revives memories of "Hal" Knight Harold Warren Knight of Charleston, W. Va., class marshall at our Commencement, custodian senior year of our Class Pipe, that genial, popular classmate, who died March 28, 1915, at the age of 46.
The engagement has been announced of Miss Nancy Ellen Morse of Milton, Mass., to Harold Warren Knight 3rd, son of Harold Warren Knight Jr. '30 of Charleston, W. Va., son of our late classmate of that name. Miss Morse is a junior at Smith College. Mr. Knight, a graduate of Milton Academy, is a member of the class of 1952 at the University of Virginia.
A decade or more ago Harry Frost bought land, comprising three adjoining building lots at the corner of two streets, in a choice residential section of St. Petersburg, Fla. Here he built his present winter home a commodious bungalow fitted out with all up-to-date equipment. Its large windows, with huge colorful awnings, look out over a wide verandah upon a spacious lawn ablaze with color most of the year with flowering plants indigenous to Florida and other varieties introduced there from abroad—notably the poinsettia. Growing in the land about the house are trees of many kinds—mostly fruit trees, from which are gathered such fruit as bananas, oranges, guavas, grapefruit, plums and apples, also trees which grow pecans and coconuts. In this attractive winter home, situated on that side of St. Petersburg near Gulfport, Mr. and Mrs. Frost are to be found each winter enjoying the peace and comfort made possible by Harry's wise planning for winters to be spent after retirement.
Mrs. George F. Sparhawk, in a recent letter, writes that the past year has been kind to her and that her health is good, notwithstanding her 86 years. She still resides in Beaver, Pa., her new address there being 231 Dravo Avenue. George died May 3, 1944.
To ascertain information regarding AlecNelson (no word having come from him for several years), your secretary months ago wrote a letter to the Postmaster of Santa Ana, Calif., to inquire whether he continued to live in that city. A prompt reply reported that both Mr. and Mrs. Nelson were living there at 808 North Par ton Street and that Nelson assured the letter carrier, who left with him your secretary's letter of inquiry to the Postmaster, that he would at once communicate with your secretary, who regrets to say that he is still waiting to hear from him.
