COMRADES.... This month we mark our annual May Day celebration in troubled times. Encircled by militant, millionairing capitalistic states, we stand alone, the vanguard of proletarian internationalism throughout the world. Our protectors, the wise Central Committee and vigilant intelligence service, are rooting out the vile Trotskyite-Bukharinite fascist agents. In the interest of world peace (and revolution) this monthly report is submitted.
MILITANT BUTCHERS....Our ubiquitous intelligence system has uncovered militaristic activities among the class-conscious '54s. Sheldon Woolf is serving with gold bar among the khaki uniforms outside of Frankfurt, Germany. His wife Betty Ann will join him next month. Another war-monger, DickFranklin, is getting his shots at the Air Force Photo Interpretation School at Wichita Falls, Texas. Dick is engaged to Gloria Welch, a grad of Rutgers and U.N.H. from Belleville, N. J. Gloria is an instructor at Air Intelligence School and a first lieutenant in the WAFs. She occasionally pulls rank on poor Richard. However, for fear of sword-bearers, says Shel, "a military wedding is not planned."
Ron Dougherty and wife Carole checked in at the Tyndall AFB in Florida so Ron can learn the "fine art" (not in the Dartmouth sense) of ground controlled interception. Hitting back and forth across the Isthmus is FredPage with the Army Quartermasters in the Canal Zone. John Gillespie is at Maintenance School at Chanute AFB, Ill.
Our agents have revealed information which forecasts violent upheavals in the capitalist legions. Dick Page and Bill Rogers have been thrust into khaki and are now at the Ordnance Automotive School in Atlanta, Ga. Both have infiltrated into the Dartmouth Club of Atlanta and are now actively pursuing the Club's party line. Dick also mentions contacting Ev Rattray, who was at Naval Justice School in Newport, R. I., during the Yuletide, and collaborating with John Pratt on a little blast in Southport, Conn. John is engaged to a Californian of unknown appellation.
With improving weather conditions PetePeters at Otis AFB on Cape Cod will begin to work up a full head of social steam. Seems Pete has a comfortable desk job to be fitted in between beach appointments. Dalt Dulac was inducted awhile back and tramped down to Fort Dix. Jim Conlin is in the same uniform at Camp Chaffee, Ark., in the artillery. Jim is slated to make a government-paid trip to Europe soon. Incidentally, Red DiSesa is in Jim's 105-Howitzer gun crew. At Dix recently were Paul Dabney, Sam Bradley, Stan Clark,Jack Reilly and Bob Clark, and out at Chaffee was Mac Lynch.
Promoting the cause of Western Imperialism in the Far East aboard the U.S.S. Diphda is Gary Rosenthal. Most of the time Gary has been lounging about the land of Fujiyama, where he ran into a number of NROTC renegades in Sasebo. The U.S.S. Lenawee has RussBenjamin on its officer's board. John Bergesen is in the Operations Dept. aboard the U.S.S.Willis A. Lee. Helping to paddle the U.S.S.Baltimore is Ens. John Fairfield, and out in "WestPac" are Rip Coffin and Doug Dodge aboard the U.S.S. Henrico and U.S.S. Cavalier, respectively.

Holyoke. Glenn will be carried away by the draft next month.
Operating out of Philly and at the U. of Penna. is Don Wagner, and 3,000 miles to the West at the California Institute of Technology is Hsung-Cheng Hsieh. A "delayed pre-med" at the U. of Rochester is Mike Finigan. Mike plans to start Med school next fall. Prospective profiteering landlords tucked in at Tuck include Bill Pitney, Joel Poorman, Ed Quinn,Dick Raphael, Art Ranch, Dick Steinberg,Dick Jennison, Dune Roberts and Chris Rood.
Also sporting DC numberplates are CharlieAcker, Bill Bonneville, Dave Briggs, PeteDwight, Gib Dyke, Ted Gasteyer, Ben Gilson,Jim Grady, Ed Kieger, Dana Low, Pete Roos, and Bob McKeever.

Don schussed with Dick Moody last winter at Stowe, and along with Ron Stillman and Irwin Herrmann he ushered the "teeming masses" at Art Harris' wedding to Miriam Kahn (Skidmore '54). Rich Rogan, also on Don's mailing list, is winding up at Cambridge (limie-land, that is) after a year of Shakespeare. Rich aims to meander around the Mediterranean and "get very tight and don't give a bloody damn."
Wretched of the earth, justice thunders condemnation. A better world's in birth, come me Revolution. Another monopolist enjoying his gory feast is Dean Berry. With Dean it's an "open and shut" case. He's peddling garage doors, raking in the moola out Denver way. Ky Lewis passes the word that Dave Gleason, wife Katy (Bradford Jr. '52) and son Mike (Dartmouth '75) are living in Cleveland while Dave travels the route for Standard Products Inc. of Ohio.
Cashing in on the inevitable is Digbe-0, or rather, Dick Eaton, apprentice funeral director for Alger E. Eaton & Sons in Needham, Mass. Capitalist par excellence is HenryGrebe, who is training with the Chase National Bank in N.Y.C. Trooping for International Business Machines Corp. of Hartford, Conn., we hear, is Bruce MacIvor. Untouched by the recent recession was Life Insurance Agent Bill Squire of Bloomingdale, N. J., and encouraged by the more recent uplift in the business cycle is Stu Roth, asst. buyer for Macy's in N.Y.C.
BOURGEOIS SENTIMENTALISTS.... While the dialectic quivers with the clash of heavy industry and consumer's goods, the bourgeois sentimentalists continue to practice their intolerable coexistential antics. On the engagement list we have Fred Hartman and Audrey Houghton of Marblehead, Mass., and Wheaton College. Fred's also after his Master's in business at the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce in Philadelphia. Another affianced was Marjory Perkins of Green Mt. and Nutley, N. J., to 2nd Lt. DickTrowbridge. Dick's an Air Force man. Betrothed to Gene Aronow, who's at Northwestern med, is another Northwesterner, Lee Kaufman.
State Mutual Insuranceman of Worcester, Mass., Norm Ross, pushed a ring onto the finger of Nancy Cushing of Wellesley, Mass., and Don Keller's name was on the engagement announcement of Jo Ann Duval, a Sarasota Spring, N. Y., product at the Roosevelt Hospital School of Nursing. Don is a Tuckster.
Paula Mae Biagi announced her engagement to Tony Migliaccio. Paula is up from Colby Jr. and Tony is at N.Y.U. grad school planning to go on in med. Beth Rosenberg of Endicott Jr. and South Orange, N. J., and DonBrief (Dartmouth med) took the first step together also.
Altar-goers in March were Lt. Bill Norcross and Janet Williams. Janet's from Wellesley, Mass., and a senior at Beaver College. Bill was at Quantico at last report. In February DickMcLean located a fellow-traveller when he sealed vows with Robin Robinson in Martinez. Both are seniors at the U. of California. Dick's an engineer.
In the "proud papa" class is John Tenca. On December 8, a girl, Shari Lynn, stopped in to stay at the Tenca home in Newark.
