Dr. Gregg (A. B., Harvard, 1911; M. D., Harvard Medical School, 1916) began his long association with the Rockefeller Foundation in 1919 as a member of the field staff of the International Health Board, following two years' service with the Royal Army Medical Corps of the British Expeditionary Forces. In 1922 he became Associate Director of the Foundation's Division of Medical Education, in 1929 Associate Director and in 1930 Director of Medi- cal Sciences. The latter position he held for twenty-one years until elected in 1951 to his present position as Vice President of the Rockefeller Foundation.
Dr. Gregg is a Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor; a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the New York Academy of Medicine; an honorary member of the American Association of Physicians and Phi Beta Kappa; and a member of the American Philosophical Society.
