A headliner event is on the ticket tor April. The annual Club Awards Dinner which is the Club's individual way of giving a Wah-Hoo-Wah to those outstanding graduates whose accomplishments merit a real Dartmouth tribute will be held on Friday evening, April 24, in the Club's Great Hall! JohnFoster '23 and his Committee have been working hard and planning for many months for the occasion and have selected Basil O'Connor '12, King Woodbriclge '04 and Pat Weaver '30 to be the recipients of the 1956 laurels. Entertainment on the program is scheduled to include piano playing and singing, both participating and listening type! Starting time will be 6:30 for cocktails with dinner to be served at 7:15. Places are limited to 100, and judging from past records, if you are planning to be on hand for the wonderful affair, make your reservation early! Including cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and entertainment, the fare will be $12.50. Black tie requested. Why not get a party together and be on hand?

Delving into events of note during the past month, the St. Patrick's Day Eve party, March 16, was one of the most successful events that the Club has seen in many moons. Being a Friday evening, many of the members who before have missed the mid-week adventures for one reason or another, turned out in large numbers to supplement the Old Guard. Dick Young's band kept things going at a fast and furious pace and provided a most listenable and danceable backdrop for the festivities.

Class dinners abound for the month of April. The '37-'38-'39 crew have begun plans for that big 20th reunion by calling forth the mob for the "First Annual Pre-Reunion Dinner" to be held April 17. Much spirit and enthusiasm has been generated for the affair by chairmen Carl Ray '37, Dick Woodman 38 and Jack Vincens '39, and all area alumni and wives of these vintage years are being pelted and pummeled by some fine publicity.

Note also should be taken that the 1918 Clan, ably led by Ernie Earley, have their annual dinner scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, and gives promise of being quite an affair!

Sam Wormser is bringing together the '27s on April 11. Gordon Chipman has the 1926ers pawing the ground to eat and drink April 12. The Tuckmen captained by John Hathaway will be comparing fiscal reports over the dinner table April 17. The '34s in the area will be greeted by George Copp come the 18th and the Class of 1920 will meet and eat April 19.

'Til next month, then! And don't forget the Awards Dinner, Tuesday, April 24!
