Arthur Roberts' grandson, W.S.R. Rogers, has given up a lucrative busineses position in Texas to become a teacher at St. George's School in Newport, R.I. He is following the worthy footsteps of his granddad. A chip off the old block, shall we say? Perhaps we have in the making another Arnold of Rugby or another Mr. Chips.

George Tong left Great Neck, N.Y., last June and is now residing with his daughter and family in Libertyville, Ill. Libertyville is a very handsome residential suburb 30 miles north of Chicago. George is very much in character as the benevolent grandfather. He says he lives in the background with all the youngsters milling around in their various activities. His health is good and he thoroughly enjoys all the goings-on as an interested onlooker. His granddaughter, Betty Jean, who was valedictorian of her high school class entered Stanford University as a freshman in September.

Arthur Virgin has spent the summer very profitably on his farm in North Hatley, Quebec. He has done a lot of gardening and has given three movie shows for the benefit of local organizations. In the meantime the thoroughbred Jersey herd — Jeannette's special domain —has prospered, and recently at Clematis Farm there has been an exhibition of prize-winning cattle.

Your secretary has recently received a card from Bill Edwards postmarked Thermopolis, Wyo. Bill is temporarily at this resort taking the baths. We sincerely hope that he is finding relief from whatever malady made the trip necessary.

About the middle of August Mrs. Paul Redington motored with her younger son Jackie (Paul Jr.) to Waukegan, Ill. Her present address is 1415 Grand Avenue. She plans to spend Christmas with her son who has not enjoyed a Christmas with any member of the family for three years. Sometime after New Year's she expects to take up residence in or near her old home at Falls Church, Va. Betty reports that she is in good health, gets out for a daily walk about the town, and is having a delightful experience living with her son in an efficiency apartment.

Walter and Alice Rankin spent the weekend of October 20 at the Hanover Inn. Alice and Charles Proctor and your secretary were invited to lunch on Monday by the Rankins. It was a most pleasant 1900 gathering, and thoroughly enjoyed by the participants. All members of the Executive Committee of the class being present certain matters of class business, which could not be satisfactorily handled by letter, were settled. It was good to have Walter and Alice in town.
