Copy for the July issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, which contains my report of 1900's 55th Reunion, was requested "Rush" by the Editorial Office. As a result, there were some regrettable omissions for which I am responsible. The twenty men of the class present are correctly listed. Dodd, Mathes and Virgin had planned to come but couldn't make it. The names of fifteen others who were present are also listed. It is regretted that the following names were omitted: Mrs. Alvah Fowler, Mrs. LeBaron Sampson, Mrs. James Woodman, Mrs. Whitney (Mrs. Barrow's sister), Walter Rankin's daughter Marjorie and her husband Spencer Smith '22, and Donald Miller '58, Putnam's grandson.

Perhaps some of those listed need identification: - Mrs. Bean (Harry Jenkins' daughter - our "Class Baby"); Mrs. Grogan and Mrs. Petry (daughters of Wallace); Mrs. De Shon (Smith's sister); Mrs. Hall (daughter of Brooks); Mrs. Hicks (daughter of Tirrell).

Omitted from my report was reference to letters received at the reunion from Ash, Brown, Edwards, Goodhue, Holland, Howard, Jonakowski, McDavitt, Newton, Prouty, Roberts and Virgin. An extended narrative report on the 1900 Class Fund, also from McDavitt, was read at the class dinner.

Of the forty living members of the class, thirty-two were present in person or by letter. Three others living but with us at Dartmouth for very short periods and not interested are not included in the count of forty.

Shortly after his return from our reunion, Walter Rankin was hospitalized for surgery - appendix. He recovered speedily and with Alice spent a rest period at Whitefield, N. H. On May 21 his oldest grandchild (Cynthia), daughter of Marjorie whose husband is Spencer Smith '22, was married to Alan Sharp at Springfield, Mass.

Clarence and Pearl Paddock celebrated their 50th-year wedding anniversary with a reception at their home in Melrose (Mass.) on June 10. They are blessed with three daughters and one son, all married, and there are fourteen grandchildren.

Donald Billstone, son of Franklin Lezvis' daughter Beatrice on August 6 was married in Arlington, Mass., to Dorothy Powers Kingsley, Middlebury '55. Donald received a B.A. degree from Middlebury and a B.S. from M.I.T., both in '55, under a new plan.

The oldest of Brock Gilson's three grandchildren, Maryann, was graduated from the Woodstock (Vt.) High School on June 10.

Four new great-grandchildren have been reported and recorded since May 1 of this year, bringing the 1900 total to 37: (1) HarryJenkins, 10 grandson Gordon Jr. '26, a daughter born February 4. (2) John Putnam, to grandson John, a daughter born June 7. (3) Hadlock, to granddaughter Joyce, a son, August 9. (4) McDavilt, to grandson Donald, a son, August 10.

According to our records 37 great-grandchildren have been reported. As to grand- children born since the completion of L. B.'s 1950 report, we have recorded 69. The total of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (including a few adoptions) appears to be 640. Those with progeny of ten or more are: Ash (24), Wallace (22), Paddock (17), Risley (G), Ham (16), H. M. Jenkins (16), Mathes (15), Hadlock (11), Dunlap (10).

Leon E. Woodman '99 (r) is shown being awarded the honorary Doctorate of Science by the School of Mines, University of Missouri.
