The Big Green's winning streak during this past football season has turned out record-breaking crowds at all the games, both at home and away. Snuffy Smith had to work for a change. The unprecedented demand for tickets had him lying awake nights trying to figure out ways to keep everyone happy, particularly his fellow classmates.

Our class was well-represented at the Yale game. Among those on hand to witness the exciting climax to a nip-and-tuck thriller were Chuck Bolte, Frank and Su Hall, Dan ar*d Bailey Provost, Russ and Genie May Garfield, Bob and Jane Mensel, Ab Combes, Buz and Catchie Willis, Don Lade, Larry Barnett, Dick Whittier, Hank and Carol Childs, Bruce and Kathy Friedlich, and Don and Pat Stillman.

Bruce and Kathy Friedlich were host and hostess to some of the gang at their annual post-game party, at which Don Stillman announced the news of his recent promotion to the important position of sales manager of Dorothy Gray, one of the country's largest cosmetic concerns.

Roy Rowan played a prominent role in the news coverage of the Little Rock fracas. As he was in charge of Life's team that reported on conditions in front of the Central High School, he was one of the prime targets for the demonstrators. Roy was roughed-up a bit but fortunately he escaped injury. He also arranged for the release of the members of his team who were arrested for being attacked by the mob. Roy made about six trips to Little Rock. He commuted between there and Milwaukee for the World Series. Roy is Life Bureau Chief for the midwest. His territory covers from Minnesota to Texas and from Ohio to Colorado.

Jack and Jerry Devor announced the arrival of a daughter, Lisa Claire, on September i?- They already have an eleven-year old son, Michael. Jack is associated with the Union Carbide Corp. in New York City. He commutes to work from his home in New Canaan, Conn.

Rev. George K. Dreher recently preached his farewell sermon as pastor of the Arlington Community Church in Berkeley, Calif. George has accepted a call to the pastorate of Concord Congregational Church of Wichita, Kan., a new church in a new community.

Since reporting to Don Hagen, our Newsletter Editor, about his recent business activities, Winsor Watson has received the appointment of Vice President and Copy Director of G. M. Basford Company, a New York Advertising Agency.

On behalf of the class, I would like to express our sincerest sympathy to Al Hutton on the death of his father and to Stu May on the death of his grandfather.

Lee Grace recently journeyed from Casper, Wyo., to Hanover to drink in the fall beauty of the hills of Hanover. Paul Mahoney and his wife were also September guests at the Hanover Inn.

Bob Taft's duties with Tidy House Paper Company take him to many parts of the country. He has more flying hours than Col.Jack Meyer. Airports are habitual reunion sites with fellow classmates. Bob recently encountered Frank Simpson in Cincinnati and Bill Hammond in Dayton. Some time ago he ran into Carl Krogh in Chicago and BruceMuir in Grand Rapids, Mich., where Bruce is in charge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing for the Muir Drug Company. Bob was a dinner guest of Bruce and his wife, Eleanor.

As this is the month for the publication of the list of contributors to the Alumni Fund, I feel it is fitting that I comply with Bruce Friedlich's recent request to sincerely thank on his behalf as Class Agent everyone who contributed so generously to the Alumni Fund and to express his appreciation to all who worked so hard to assure the success of the drive.

Best wishes to all for a very Merry Christmas and an exceedingly Happy New Year.
